Layouts.
One of the things I love most about design is thinking about how an existing space can be better utilized both functionally & aesthetically. A good majority of my expertise comes with helping clients maximize the space they already have and developing creative layouts and new solutions for their long term needs.
Below is a sampling of pre-existing spaces that have gotten a layout revamp to make a house truly a home.
Pierce Kitchen.
This kitchen was desperately small with very little counter space, poor lighting, and no space to breathe. The goal was to utilize the dining room to make the kitchen bigger and to incorporate ‘island’ seating with a view into the adjacent living room.
Newland Kitchen.
The clients’ main goal with this kitchen remodel was to create better flow through the entire back of the house and to have a dedicated space for a larger dining table to be able to entertain all year long. By rotating the kitchen we created new paths of travel and ultimately gave 4 rooms better function - the kitchen, dining room, mudroom & laundry room!
